R. Crumb Trading Cards! (boxless) Only 9.95!
In 1991 Kitchen Sink Press
published a boxed 36-card
set called
"R. Crumb Trading Cards." This set pictured his most
famous characters (Mr. Natural, Snoid, Devil Girl, Flakey
Foont, Fritz the Cat, etc.) along with obscure favorites
(Forky O'Donnell, Little Johnny Fuckerfaster, etc.) and
a self-portrait of Crumb (No. 36). All the cards were
newly designed and newly colored to Crumb's specifications. The
backs of the cards featured another view of each character with
a tasty orange tint, plus snappy descriptions of the character,
appearances, and significance by KSP editor Dave Schreiner.
This card set proved very popular and sold
out quickly. Out of print for a decade, complete boxed sets routinely
sell on eBay and at conventions in the $30 range.
We have complete sets (No. 1-36) without the box for only $9.95. The cards are all pristine mint/near mint and
are from the original publisher's personal stock. Just NO box.
