    75. Fox River Patriot (1977).

Denis Kitchen and Mike Jacobi, two of the founders of the Milwaukee-based alternative newspaper The Bugle (1970-78) both moved to rural Princeton WI in the early '70s and several years later co-founded a rural equivalent called the Fox River Patriot. Jacobi puffed an ever-present pipe so artist Peter Poplaski created this pipe-smoking fox as the paper's trademark image. In an article in Co-Evolution Quarterly, R. Crumb called The Patriot his favorite newspaper. (We still have a few old issues with covers and cartoons by Crumb, Kitchen, Poplaski, Armstrong and others. If you're interested, drop a note to the webmaster.)

    2.25 inch diameter. $3.00

One note, for serious button collectors, you may want to read the KSP BUTTON TEXT which explains the numbering systems for identifying the various buttons produced over the last 30 years, or see the COMPLETE KSP BUTTON LIST. The list is VERY long, so be patient while it loads.
