    New wraparound Eisner cover. Reprints five classic Spirit stories with new graytones added: "Radio Station WLXK," "Enterprise," "The Black Queen's Army," "The Burning of P.S. 43" and "Cache McStash." The third story (Black Queen), the 6th overall Spirit adventure, is reprinted in color in a 16-page centerspread that also include a complete Mr. Mystic story, "The Sinclair Jewels," by Chuck Mazoujian. "Shop Talk" between Eisner and the original Captain Marvel artist C.C. Beck. Plus "Will Eisner Interview" by Fred Hembeck. This is the last issue of Spirit Magazine. After No. 41. Kitchen Sink Press split Eisner's work into two separate publications: A new comic book series, The Spirit, solely reprinted Spirit stories in chronological order (for the first time) while Will Eisner's Quarterly focused on serializing Eisner's new graphic novels, featured articles about his long career, sometimes included a full color Spirit story, and continued Eisner's "Shop Talk" interviews with leading professionals. 64 page magazine.
