WILL EISNER original art from INVISIBLE PEOPLE “The Power” (1992) pg. 8

    Title/date/description:
A three-panel page from the “The Power,” the 2nd chapter of INVISIBLE PEOPLE, created by Eisner in 1992.

The protagonist, Morris, a failed magician’s apprentice, has hooked up with Gypsy Lily, a fortune teller, who makes no pretense to Morris that she is conning her clients.

Page 8 (of Chapter 2) on the art page itself and page 51 in the Kitchen Sink and DC Comics editions. Invisible People was the only Eisner graphic novel that was first serialized in comic books (three, titled SANCTUM, THE POWER, and MORTAL COMBAT) and then collected into a single book in 1993.

    Size/medium/condition:
Blue pencil, pen, brush, and ink on heavy Bristol board measuring 11 x 14 inches. Eisner’s official studio rubber stamps on reverse. Excellent condition.

    Provenance:
Warranted to be from the Will Eisner estate, which this agency exclusively represents. There can be no safer or more certain purchase of Eisner art.

Note: Image is © Will Eisner Studios, Inc. Reproduction for commercial purposes requires permission.
