WILL EISNER (1917-2005). Title/date/description: "Nude Self Portrait by Will Eisner" (circa 1990's).

Inscribed to the late Mark Cohen and his wife Rosa and signed by Eisner in the lower left corner. Art dealer Cohen solicited nude self-portraits from several prominent cartoonists for a project. Eisner, approximately 80 years old at the time, graciously complied, discretely posing himself behind a trademark New York City street lamp and trash can. The Spirit is no doubt holding his boss's clothes and snickering slightly off camera.

Size/medium/condition: 8.75 inches x nearly 12 inches on textured watercolor paper. Rendered in ink and watercolor. Excellent condition.
