WILL EISNER original art from INVISIBLE PEOPLE “The Power” (1992) pg. 35

    Title/date/description:
“Holy” Morris has proven unable to cure his mute and disabled son, so he tries emotion, but, to add to the story's tragedy, the boy wants to be returned to his mother.  A dramatic page from “The Power,” the 2nd chapter of INVISIBLE PEOPLE, created by Eisner in 1992. The seemingly infinite steps to conclude the page and scene seem to magnify and foretell Morris’s looming descent into despair.

Page 35 (of Chapter 2) on the art page itself and page 78 in the Kitchen Sink and DC Comics editions.

Invisible People was the only Eisner graphic novel that was first serialized in comic books (three, titled SANCTUM, THE POWER, and MORTAL COMBAT) and then collected into a single book in 1993.

    Size/medium/condition:
Blue pencil, pen, brush, and ink on heavy Bristol board measuring 11 x 14 inches. Eisner’s official studio rubber stamps on reverse. Minor white-out, otherwise excellent condition.

    Provenance:
Warranted to be from the Will Eisner estate, which this agency exclusively represents. There can be no safer or more certain purchase of Eisner art.
