THE BUNCH'S POWER PAK COMICS No. 1 (1979) by Aline-Kominsky-Crumb.

Aline refers to herself self-deprecatingly as "the Aluminum Siding Saleswoman of Comics." Her style is on the crude side, but she is as funny as anyone if you dive in. Her stories are autobiographical and at times both excruciatingly honest and hilarious. You'll feel like you know "Blabette and Arnie" (her Long Island Jewish parents) and friends almost too well when you are through.

This was Kominsky-Crumb's first solo effort. No. 1 didn't sell very well (in her Comics Journal interview she jokingly refers to her unsold comics providing "insulation for her publisher's barn") but a 2nd issue nevertheless was published. She went on to collaborate with her famous husband Robert in Dirty Laundry Comics and to contribute to many other underground comic books. Published by Kitchen Sink Press. Mint/near mint condition.

Keywords: UG Comix, Underground Comics, Comic Book
