106. "Omaha" the Cat Dancer
(1983) by Reed Waller (written
by Kate Worley).
The x-rated but highly respected series
focused around a feline stripper and her circle of anthropomorphic
friends. It was one of Kitchen Sink's most successful line of
comics and also one of the few comics of its day with a high
female readership. Three years after this button appeared copies
of Omaha were seized in the bust of a suburban Chicago
shop, leading to the formation of the Comic Book Legal Defense
Fund.
2.25 inch diameter. $5.00
One note, for serious button collectors,
you may want to read the KSP
BUTTON TEXT which explains the numbering systems for
identifying the various buttons produced over the last 30 years,
or see the COMPLETE
KSP BUTTON LIST. The list is VERY long, so be patient
while it loads.
