    121. Nard n' Pat 20th Anniversary: 1966-1986 (1983).

Don't be fooled by the 1966-1986 date! Always thinking ahead (his characters' twentieth anniversary was still three years away), cartoonist Jay Lynch created this button design in 1983. Anthropomorphic Pat the Cat and his dull-witted human foil Nard, the stars of Bijou Funnies and other underground comix, are described in the button sub-head as "Tops in tedium for over a fifth of a century," but discerning comix fans revere this strip as a marvelously droll experience. Lynch also wrote "Phoebe and the Pigeon People" and he was the mastermind behind "Wacky Packs," "Garbage Pail Kids" and other famous or notorious Topps trading cards. (See also buttons # 30, 107-112 and 119). 2.25 inch diameter. $5.00

One note, for serious button collectors, you may want to read the KSP BUTTON TEXT which explains the numbering systems for identifying the various buttons produced over the last 30 years, or see the COMPLETE KSP BUTTON LIST. The list is VERY long, so be patient while it loads.
