Eisner's legendary masked crimefighter
was celebrated in a special issue of Kitchen Sink's Spirit
Magazine No. 30 in 1981. Fifty different and
diverse comics creators, including Harvey Kurtzman, Milton
Caniff, Frank Miller, Richard Corben, Howard Cruse, Peter Poplaski,
Bill Sienkiewicz, Brian Bolland, John Byrne, Brent Anderson,
Archie Goodwin, Eisner himself and many others contributed
to the unprecedented 36-page homage. Each of the 50 artists and
writers was presented with this souvenir button with their name
hand-lettered by Spirit publisher and co-contributor Denis
Kitchen. A small number of extra buttons are available here with
either a blank name stripe or the word "speciman" on
the stripe. (See also #16 and 94.) Diameter 2.25 inches. $7.50
