Will Eisner Art: INVISIBLE PEOPLE "The Power" (1992) pg. 39 * NOT AVAILABLE FOR PURCHASE *
WILL EISNER original
art from INVISIBLE
PEOPLE “The Power” (1992) pg. 39
Title/date/description: This penultimate
page from the “The Power,” the 2nd chapter of INVISIBLE
PEOPLE, created by Eisner in 1992, shows
Morris ’the Healer” after he’s lost his son.
Now destitute, he loiters in front of the silo
kitchen where he had once been rescued and worked at.
Will he come full circle for help? A beautifully
understated page that demonstrates Will Eisner’s
masterful page composition: Morris floats on a plane
of snow that separates the three otherwise seamless
panels. An original made for a discerning collector.
Page 39 (of Chapter 2) on the art page itself and page
82 in the Kitchen Sink and DC Comics editions. Invisible
People was the only Eisner graphic novel that was first
serialized in comic books (three, titled SANCTUM, THE
POWER, and MORTAL COMBAT) and then collected into a
single book in 1993.
Size/medium/condition: Blue pencil, pen,
brush, and ink on heavy Bristol board measuring 11 x 14
inches. Eisner’s official studio rubber stamps on
reverse. Minor white-out, otherwise excellent condition.
Provenance: Warranted to be from the
Will Eisner estate, which this agency exclusively
represents. There can be no safer or more
certain purchase of Eisner art.
