WILL EISNER original art from INVISIBLE PEOPLE “The Power” (1992) pg. 7

    Title/date/description:
Gypsy Lily has just seduced Morris in this dramatic page from “The Power,” the 2nd chapter of INVISIBLE PEOPLE, created by Eisner in 1992. She proposes that he join her as she sets up her fortune telling business away from the circus.

Dramatic use of black and white, an Eisner virtue. Page 7 (of Chapter 2) on the art page itself and page 50 in the Kitchen Sink and DC Comics editions. Invisible People was the only Eisner graphic novel that was first serialized in comic books (three, titled SANCTUM, THE POWER, and MORTAL COMBAT) and then collected into a single book in 1993.

    Size/medium/condition:
Blue pencil, pen, brush, and ink on heavy Bristol board measuring 11 x 14 inches. Eisner’s official studio rubber stamps on reverse. Minor white-out, otherwise excellent condition.

    Provenance:
Warranted to be from the Will Eisner estate, which this agency exclusively represents. There can be no safer or more certain purchase of Eisner art.

Note: Image is © Will Eisner Studios, Inc. Reproduction for commercial purposes requires permission.
