WILL
EISNER original art from INVISIBLE
PEOPLE “The Power” (1992) pg.
20
Title/date/description: “Holy”
Morris the Healer has just evidently healed
a greatly woman in this starkly dramatic
page from “The Power,” the 2nd chapter of INVISIBLE
PEOPLE, created by Eisner in 1992.
As he accepts her payment, Morris prepares to
hit the bottle. While he can seemingly help others,
he seems powerless to cure his own drift
to alcoholism. Page 20 (of Chapter 2) on the
art page itself and page 63 in the Kitchen Sink and
DC Comics editions. Invisible People was the only
Eisner graphic novel that was first serialized in
comic books (three, titled SANCTUM, THE POWER, and
MORTAL COMBAT) and then collected into a single book
in 1993.
Size/medium/condition: Blue pencil,
pen, brush, and ink on heavy Bristol board measuring
11 x 14 inches. Eisner’s official studio rubber
stamps on reverse. Minor white-out, otherwise
excellent condition.
Provenance: Warranted to be from the
Will Eisner estate, which this agency exclusively
represents. There can be no safer or more
