    Back cover     (Lot of 2). A dramatic composition with Superman facing down a thug with a menacing pointed revolver. I think we know who wins this confrontation. $1,400

    Medium/Size/Condition: India ink on heavy Bristol board measuring 15” wide x 20.75” high (38.1 x 52.7cm). Signed and dated (2014) in lower left (with an acknowledgement to Wayne Boring), and with a 2nd signature at the top with the creative history (drawn in France). Poplaski removed black ink with a blade inside the “N” and “S” of the large headline toward bottom. The lot includes Poplaski’s color guide: color pencils on a photocopy (10 x 13”) of the finished art, signed, with notes. Both items are in excellent condition, other than the cuts noted.
