The protagonist, Morris, a failed magician’s apprentice,
has hooked up with Gypsy Lily, a fortune teller, who
makes no pretense to Morris that she is conning her
clients.
Page 8 (of Chapter 2) on the art page itself and page 51
in the Kitchen Sink and DC Comics editions. Invisible
People was the only Eisner graphic novel that was first
serialized in comic books (three, titled SANCTUM, THE
POWER, and MORTAL COMBAT) and then collected into a
single book in 1993.
Size/medium/condition: Blue pencil, pen,
brush, and ink on heavy Bristol board measuring 11 x 14
inches. Eisner’s official studio rubber stamps on
reverse. Excellent condition.
Provenance: Warranted to be from the
Will Eisner estate, which this agency exclusively
represents. There can be no safer or more
certain purchase of Eisner art.
