has just seduced Morris in this dramatic page from
“The Power,” the 2nd chapter of INVISIBLE
PEOPLE, created by Eisner in 1992.
She proposes that he join her as she sets up her
fortune telling business away from the circus.
Dramatic use of black and white, an Eisner virtue.
Page 7 (of Chapter 2) on the art page itself and
page 50 in the Kitchen Sink and DC Comics editions.
Invisible People was the only Eisner graphic novel
that was first serialized in comic books (three,
titled SANCTUM, THE POWER, and MORTAL COMBAT) and
then collected into a single book in 1993.
Size/medium/condition: Blue pencil,
pen, brush, and ink on heavy Bristol board measuring
11 x 14 inches. Eisner’s official studio rubber
stamps on reverse. Minor white-out, otherwise
excellent condition.
Provenance: Warranted to be from the
Will Eisner estate, which this agency exclusively
represents. There can be no safer or more
certain purchase of Eisner art.
