WILL
EISNER original art from INVISIBLE
PEOPLE “The Power” (1992)
pg. 36
Title/date/description: This
page from the “The Power,” the 2nd chapter
of INVISIBLE PEOPLE,
created by Eisner in 1992, depicts
Morris ’the Healer” after he has failed to
cure his crippled and mute son.
He reluctantly returns the boy to his mother,
now a successful fortune teller. After this
scene the broken healer becomes one of New York
City’s “ invisible people.”
Page 36 (of Chapter 2) on the art page itself
and page 79 in the Kitchen Sink and DC Comics
editions. Invisible People was the only Eisner
graphic novel that was first serialized in comic
books (three, titled SANCTUM, THE POWER, and
MORTAL COMBAT) and then collected into a single
book in 1993.
Size/medium/condition: Blue
pencil, pen, brush, and ink on heavy Bristol
board measuring 11 x 14 inches. Eisner’s
official studio rubber stamps on reverse. The
top half of the page has been cut and pasted to
the second page. Otherwise excellent condition.
Provenance: Warranted to be from the
Will Eisner estate, which this agency exclusively
represents. There can be no safer or more
certain purchase of Eisner art.
Note: Image is © Will Eisner Studios,
Inc. Reproduction for commercial purposes requires
