felt that a strong grasp of skeletal anatomy was an essential
cornerstone of Expressive Anatomy, so his book begins with
several wonderfully rendered skeletons in motion. Here the full range
of the trunk (spine and rib cage) is shown. A comparison of this
sharply detailed original with the published version shows that some
subtlety of line was lost in the reduction and reproduction.

11 5/8 white paper. The headline and text are on separate small sheets
of paper clear taped to the vellum. The 2nd piece, on 8.5 x 11 paper,
is Eisner�s layout, a combination of cut and repositioned photocopies,
