    127. Megaton Man! [Trent Phloog] (1984).

Every self-respecting comic book super-hero has an alter-ego. When monstrously muscled but dim-witted Megaton Man dons his disguise, he becomes mild-mannered (and dim-witted) newspaper reporter Trent Phloog. A business suit covers his monstrous muscles and a hat discreetly covers his omnipresent face mask. On this button the cleverly disguised Phloog issues a routine denial of the headline blaring from his own employer's newspaper. Drawn by Don Simpson. (See also MM buttons #122-126.) $4.00.

    2.25 inches in diameter.

(Note: with the exception of "political" buttons #158-161, the Megaton Man buttons represent the last of the uninterrupted series of 2.25 inch size buttons. Beginning with #128 (and a four year gap), Kitchen Sink's buttons become the more practical 1.25 inch diameter and, as a general rule, become buttons intended for promotion, not direct sale, like most previous buttons.)

One note, for serious button collectors, you may want to read the KSP BUTTON TEXT which explains the numbering systems for identifying the various buttons produced over the last 30 years, or see the COMPLETE KSP BUTTON LIST. The list is VERY long, so be patient while it loads.
