    73. Princeton, Wisconsin [winter] (1977). Art by Robert Armstrong.

The southern California cartoonist (Mickey Rat) and musician (Cheap Suit Serenaders) was sufficiently enchanted with his visit to this rural midwest hamlet that he volunteered to create a souvenir button. The blizzard image may not have been the tourist board's choice but it was a reasonably accurate summary. The frosty temperature does not deter the Princeton native from quaffing a sudsy "Tiger Brew." That local brewery (motto: "The Beer with a Purr") was already long out of business when Bob showed up but he knew that Kitchen Sink came within inches of acquiring the Tiger Brew building as its comic book headquarters, so it's inclusion here is a bit of an in-joke. This image was later recycled as a cover for the alternative rural paper, the Fox River Patriot. See also button #74.

    2.25" diameter. $4.00

One note, for serious button collectors, you may want to read the KSP BUTTON TEXT which explains the numbering systems for identifying the various buttons produced over the last 30 years, or see the COMPLETE KSP BUTTON LIST. The list is VERY long, so be patient while it loads.
