96. 25th Bombardment Squadron
(1982).
Kitchen Sink Press' longtime art director
Peter Poplaski's father was a genuine World War II hero
of the Pacific theatre. When Stanley Poplaski would travel to
Air Force conventions and meet fellow veterans, he was intrigued
by their exchange of insignia souvenirs. Returning from one,
he asked his artistic son to recreate the emblems from the Air
Force units he was in or affiliated with. Denis Kitchen in turn
loyally agreed to include the set of four as part of a short
button sheet run. They are numbered on the respective rims and
are part of the official KSP button run, inexplicable as they
may seem next to Zippy the Pinhead and Couch Tomatoes. They find
their true audience via eBay military categories, but we include
them here for KSP (or Poplaski) completists.
2.25 inch diameter. $2.50
One note, for serious button collectors,
you may want to read the KSP
BUTTON TEXT which explains the numbering systems for
identifying the various buttons produced over the last 30 years,
or see the COMPLETE
KSP BUTTON LIST. The list is VERY long, so be patient
while it loads.
