    FOX FIVER PATRIOT No. 35 (April 17-May 8, 1978) with color "Toads in the Outhouse" cover by Denis Kitchen .


    The line of irritated animals waiting in line for the outhouse (itself a joke) was basically an excuse for Kitchen to feature the characters from then-partner Mike Jacobi's popular and long-running column in their prior newspaper venture, The Bugle.

    Issue #35 Contents: Local historian Elaine Reetz on central Wisconsin creameries (the Princeton, Brooklyn, Harrisville, Montello, Buffalo, Packwaukee and Shields Creamery, plus the Carnation Milk Company, Libby, McNeil and Libby, and others); "Trout Fishing" by Gary Kurtz;  "The Ripon Commonwealth Press" (Part IV in a seres about regional newspapers) by Tom Montag; "Surveyor R. K. Saylor of Winneconne" by Reetz; "The Berlin Senior Citizens Center" by Montag; "Create a Fish Pond out of Sewage?" by Rasa Gustaitis;  planting strawberries, cherries and raspberries; and more, plus column logos and local ads illustrated by Kitchen. 

    Format: 36-pages, 11.5 x 17" tabloid style newspaper, folded to 8 3/4" x 11.5" cover size.

    Condition: Near Mint uncirculated copy, carefully stored in cool environment for over three decades, with only faint aging typical of old newsprint.
