133-A. Denizen
(1989).
One of three buttons to promote Doug
Potter's underground comix series Denizens of Deep City.
Eight issues were published by Kitchen Sink Press from 1988-1990.
This one is designed in spray can graffitti style, presumably
by the pint-size members of the Rooftop Club, outcast and runaway
kids who are in perpetual battle with "groundsiders"
and cops. (Why 133 "A"? For reasons lost in time, these
three promo buttons were not counted on KSP's original "master
list" of chronologically numbered buttons, so we have belatedly
assigned them #133-A, 133-B and 133-C to indicate that they fall
in the time line between the 1989 Blab! set and the April
1990 Bushmiller retrospective button.)
1.25" diameter. $3.00
One note, for serious button collectors,
you may want to read the KSP
BUTTON TEXT which explains the numbering systems for
identifying the various buttons produced over the last 30 years,
or see the COMPLETE
KSP BUTTON LIST. The list is VERY long, so be patient
while it loads.
