59. Cartoonists Co-Op Press (1975).
This small, short-lived underground comix
publisher was based in San Francisco. Though technically a business
rival, Denis Kitchen agreed to produce this button as part of
his Pinback Jack operation. This sort of cooperation was common
among most underground comix publishers. The design by Bill
(Zippy) Griffith, features a smarmy cigar-smoking capitalist
(shades of Steve Krupp?). 2.25 inch diameter. $5.00
One note, for serious button collectors,
you may want to read the KSP
BUTTON TEXT which explains the numbering systems for
identifying the various buttons produced over the last 30 years,
or see the COMPLETE
KSP BUTTON LIST. The list is VERY long, so be patient
while it loads.
