Crumb's nastiest character almost looks cute in this winking pose. This was part of a set of three (see also "Mr. Natural" and "Smelly Old Cat"). This may look superficially like a "cloissonnè" pin (where enamel is melted between crude metal outlines) but it is not. The detailed image is silkscreened on metal for much greater clarity than cloissonnè. It is then covered with a thick, curved clear-coat. The pin is mounted on a card with color Crumb art and foam backing in a clear snap case measuring 2" x 2.25" x 1/2". Great item in mint condition.
