The back cover is Shelton’s classic mantra of Freewheelin’ Frank saying, “Dope will get you through times of no money better than money will get you through times of no dope.” Frank’s brothers were The brothers were Phineas, and Fat Freddy. The stories, including the feature length “Shoot-Out at the County Slammer” are mostly by Gilbert Shelton, but this issue includes guest pages by Bobby London (“Doctor Dope”), Ted Richards (“Dopin’ Dan”) and Dave Sheridan (“Buster Foyt, Esq.”).
