Murphy (1891-1965),
was an editorial cartoonist who created Toots and Caspar (1919-1958),
a domestic comedy strip about a couple, their boy Buttercup,
and a large cast of family and frieds, hugely popular from the
1920's to the 1940's. 4" x 6" sepia tone card on heavy
card stock.
