2013 WILL EISNER WEEK POSTER - Statue of Liberty

Every March, commemorating cartoonist Will Eisner’s birthday, lectures, symposiums, and events are held across America to “celebrate the legacy of the father of the graphic novel.” And each year an official poster is issued to encourage people to “READ A GRAPHIC NOVEL.”

In 2013 the poster utilized an Eisner painting showing Eisner’s most famous creation The Spirit in a parody of the Statue of Liberty, with Ellis Island immigrants busily reading comics. Design by John Lind.

18 x 24 inches on gloss paper.
