2015 WILL EISNER WEEK POSTER
- 75th Anniversary of The Spirit
Will Eisner’s classic Spirit (initially a comic
book insert in Sunday newspapers) made its debut
in 1940 when Eisner was only twenty-three years
old. The silver anniversary of this enduring
masked hero is commemorated in the 2015 “Will
Eisner Week” poster, issued annually in
conjunction with celebrations of Eisner’s birthday
every March.
In 2015 events in over twenty
cities on three continents honor one of the most
important and influential cartoonists of all time.
This year’s poster features a little-seen Eisner
drawing of his own character reading ---what
else?--- graphic novels. This striking and
inexpensive poster will brighten any collector’s
office, den or man cave.
Measures 18 x 24 inches on gloss paper. Shipped
