6-A. Milwaukee, Wis.:
America's Cultural Mecca (1973).
Art by Peter Poplaski. The premise
of this local souvenir was a tongue-in-cheek juxtaposition of
the lofty expression "cultural mecca" with an overview
of the smoky heavy industry city. The guys at Kitchen Sink loved
Milwaukee but couldn't resist poking fun at. Poplaski, normally
a perfectionist, rushed the job and the resulting image was too
murky to get the joke across. Sales were poor and the concept
abandoned. The button number "6" appears in the lower
right.
2.25 inch diameter. $2.50
One note, for serious button collectors,
you may want to read the KSP BUTTON
TEXT which explains the numbering
systems for identifying the various buttons produced over the
last 30 years, or see the COMPLETE
KSP BUTTON LIST. The list is
VERY long, so be patient while it loads.
