168. Trade Show Zombie
(1992).
Created as a "throw-in" on the
sheet where three buttons (#166-168) were created utilizing
silver foil stamping, "Trade Show Zombie" was
intended as a gag gift for fellow exhibitors when KSP employees
travelled not just to numerous annual comic conventions, but
to the huge American Book Association (later BEA), the Frankfurt
Book Fair, the Licensing Show, etc.
Bleary-eyed and jaded compatriots from
other exhibiting companies on tour proudly accepted and wore
this button with a knowing, if tired, smile. It had virtually
no circulation among comics fans and, though lettered by Peter
Poplaski, it contains no cartoon graphic, so it is not particularly
collectible. But it is part if the numbered KSP button
series and listed here accordingly.
1.25 inch diameter. $1.50
One note, for serious button collectors,
you may want to read the KSP
BUTTON TEXT which explains the numbering systems for
identifying the various buttons produced over the last 30 years,
or see the COMPLETE
KSP BUTTON LIST. The list is VERY long, so be patient
while it loads.
