198. From Hell (1995).
From Hell,
serialized over 11 square bound issues, was written by Alan
Moore and illustrated by Eddie Campbell. It focused
on the unsolved crimes of Jack the Ripper (postulating
a solution) as well as life in Victorian England. From Hell
won numerous Harvey and Eisner Awards and universal critical
acclaim. It was adapted into the 20th Century Fox motion picture
From Hell (2001) starring Johnny Depp and Heather
Graham). This promotional button depicts the Todd Klein
logo mimicking the handwritten phrase "From Hell" in
one of the authentic letters the police received from Jack the
Ripper. [We also have all eleven back issues of From
Hell in the web store.]
