63. Ordinary Records:
Milwaukee (1975).
The sister button (#62) shows a front portrait
of "The Cheap Suit Serenaders." This portrait
by Robert Crumb shows the band simultaneously truckin'
and playing. From left to right: Crumb, Al Dodge and Bob
Armstrong. Armstrong has switched from an accordion in the
other portrait to his trademark musical saw. More overtly than
the companion button, this one plugs Krupp Comic Works' Ordinary
Record label, which produced Crumb's first recording in the
even-then obsolete ten inch 78 rpm format.
(We also offer the vintage 78 rpm recording
as well as Crumb's promotional poster.)
Diameter 2.25 inches. $6.00
One note, for serious button collectors,
you may want to read the KSP
BUTTON TEXT which explains the numbering systems for
identifying the various buttons produced over the last 30 years,
or see the COMPLETE
KSP BUTTON LIST. The list is VERY long, so be patient
while it loads.
