SET OF 5
BUTTONS: America's Lesbian Capitol: Northampton MA (2002).
Northampton's a great little
city. We love it. It was named "America's No. 1 arts community"
in its population category in 2001. It's the home of all-female
Smith College, the birthplace of the modern feminist movement
(Betty Friedan wrote The Feminine Mystique here)
and every prominent woman from Gloria Steinem to Nancy
Reagan has been to Northampton to give a commencement
address or a speech. It also happens to be the unabashed lesbian
capitol of North America. The classless National Inquirer
a few years ago, in a two-page headline, called Northampton "The
Town That Hates Men." That's certainly not our experience.
This is the set of 5 for
$6.00. 1.25 inch sepia duotone.
One note, for serious button collectors,
you may want to read the KSP
BUTTON TEXT which explains the numbering systems for
identifying the various buttons produced over the last 30 years,
or see the COMPLETE
KSP BUTTON LIST. The list is VERY long, so be patient
while it loads.
