MR. NATURAL CLASP PIN
in CASE. (1992) by R. Crumb.
Great collectible depicting Crumb's most
enduring character. This was part of a set of three (see also
"Smelly Old Cat" and "Mr. Snoid"). These
may look superficially like "cloissonnè" pins
(where enamel is melted between crude metal outlines) but they
are not. The detailed image is silkscreened on metal for much
greater clarity than cloissonnè, and are covered with
a thick, curved clear-coat. The pin is mounted on a card with
color Crumb art and foam backing in a clear snap case measuring
2" x 2.25" x 1/2". Great item in mint condition.
This is the hardest to find of the three.
