HIGH ADVENTURE
(1973). First printing.
Kitchen Sink Press in the early '70s was
associated almost entirely with underground comix, implying high
levels of raunch, irreverence and drugs. High Adventure
was the closest KSP came to publishing a Star-Reach type
"ground level" comic in those days. Essentially this
was a straight adventure comic with a bare breast here and there.
Nice wraparound cover by Bob Kline. Stories include "Nimbus"
by Mark Evanier and Kline; "Lord Sabre"
by Evanier, Steve Leialoha and John Pound; and
"Winged Challege" by Evanier and Kline.
Topless "Anniki" pin-up by sometime Jack Kirby inker
Mike Royer. A nice anthology that doesn't show up in many
bins, particularly in NM/Mint condition.
