OMAHA #0
SILVER EDITION (1994).
This special 52-page edition reprints Reed
Waller's very 1st Omaha story from Bizarre Sex
#9 (before Kate Worley joined him), along with 5 pages
of even earlier appearances from the obscure zine Vootie.
So numbering the reprint as #0 indicates that the contents predate
the story in Omaha #1. Now if you're still with us, here's
the really confusing part: There are other printings
of Omaha #0 but the title of this silver edition
(as listed on the indicia page and catalog solicitation) is technically
Kitchen Sink Classics #1. It was the first of an intended
year-long series of underground reprints in conjunction with
Kitchen Sink's 25th Anniversary (1969-1994). Kitchen Sink
Classics #2 featured a silver edition of R. Crumb's
People's Comics, but the then-panicky market was not receptive
and additional planned silver editions, including a Mondo
Snarfo reprint, were cancelled. The silver, by the way, is
an actual silver ink (5th color added to the normal 4-color printing).
Near Mint condition. Price: $10
