    SNARF No. 3 (1972). 1st printing.

The guest cover by comics legend Will Eisner shows his famous creation The Spirit entering the literally underground headquarters of Krupp Comic Works. As Commissioner Dolan urges The Spirit to arrest the hippie publishing staff, the blasé cartoonists and editors work away in their sewer office. Other contributors to this comix anthology... Peter Poplaski and Ed Goodman poke fun at rich revolutionaries in "Bucky Wright, Boy Radical." Tom Christopher offers "Secret Files of the Omnipotent Dwarf," "Lenny and Phil, the Lovable Loonies" and "Amon Ra, Dog Blood Drinking Cult." Evert Geradts brings "Johnny Pailears" and "Ma Cow." Goodman and Denis Kitchen introduce "Ramshackle & Slumlord Realty," starring your current web host Steve Krupp. Pete Loft's bird-brained mailman is featured in "Dead Ledder Delivers."

The back of Snarf #3 is taken up with parodies of famous newspaper comic strips: Pete Poplaski and Dave Schreiner tackle Mary Worth (who passes gas), Apartment 3-G (the roomates invite Richard Speck in), Judge Parker (meets Don Corleone at home) and Rex Morgan, M.D. (refuses to treat a deadbeat) while Denis Kitchen spoofs Freddy (why does he take his first bath willingly?), Tumbleweeds (sexist joke), Priscilla's Pop (scatological) and ---of course--- Nancy & Sluggo (making a stoned hippie pun). Back cover by Tim Boxell. Even the ads are interesting: R. Crumb Ordinary Record 78 RPM LP Album and the now extremely rare Mickey Rat and Mr. Natural rings are offered with a ring finger measuring tape!
