Herriman (1880-1944)
created the comic strip Krazy Kat (1910-1944), a masterpiece
of Surrealism starring Krazy, Ignatz the brick-throwing
mouse who is the object of Krazy's unrequited love, and Offissa
Bull Pup who completes the romantically and psychologically
charged triangle of the strip. Herriman, who rarely took off
his hat, is shown here on the running board of a car while drawing
a sketch for children. 4" x 6" sepia tone on heavy
card stock.
