    YESTERYEAR No. 54 (September 1979). CARL BARKS cover story!

    Yesteryear was a monthly tabloid, the "Collectors' Bible for Wisconsin and Illinois," published for a while by Denis Kitchen and a partner. Kitchen Sink Press editor and longtime Uncle $crooge fan Dave Schreiner wrote this cover story on celebrated Duck Man Carl Barks. New cover art by Peter Poplaski depicting Donald Duck and Uncle Scrooge. Neither this article or cover was ever reprinted anywhere else. An obscure must-have item for Barks fans! Very few issues of Yesteryear circulated outside the two states noted, and, as a tabloid, few copies survived period. Our remaining copies are near mint. (See also our Barks self-portrait button).
