WILL EISNER'S QUARTERLY No. 3 (1984) by Will Eisner.
The Spirit Magazine, which had been reprinting vintage Spirit stories
as well as show casing Eisner's new work, ended with No. 41.
Kitchen Sink Press then split Eisner's work into separate publications.
A new comic book line, The Spirit, solely reprinted the
Spirit stories in chronological order (for the first time). Meanwhile
Will Eisner's Quarterly focused on serializing Eisner's
new graphic novels, featured articles about his long career,
included a full color Spirit story, and continued his "Shop
Talk" interviews. This 3rd issue includes an excerpt from
A Life Force; the 7-28-40 Spirit in color; and
an illustrated Shop Talk with Phil Seuling, the man who
popularized comic book conventions and founded the "direct
market" distribution system for comics. New cover art by
Eisner (reprinted no where else). Letters section includes a
missive from C. C. Beck. Mint/near mint.
