248. Member: Secret Bushmiller Society (2002).

As Denis Kitchen made emphatically clear in his definitive Too Much Coffee Man Interview #15 (summer 2002), he is not the leader of the mysterious cult group based around late "Nancy" creator Ernie Bushmiller. Far from it. But because of his long association with Kitchen Sink Press, which published several Nancy & Sluggo books, Nancy neckties and related esoterica, he made contact early on with this clandestine organization and sometimes acts as an unofficial conduit.

To that end Kitchen has agreed to make available these "membership" buttons. We offer no formal membership cards, no B.S. Newsletters or anything else. We stress that we know nothing. Ask us nothing. Nor do we wish to imply that we are under any pressure or threats to sell the "membership" buttons. We cannot say whether the money ultimately goes to manufacture ubiquitous Bushmiller Society stickers, mailings or other B.S. propaganda. Just send us the money for the buttons and seek the answers about Ernie Bushmiller's alleged divinity elsewhere.
