O. K. COMICS No. 2 by Bruce Walthers
(1972).
Following close on the heels of the debut
issue of O. K. Comics was this sequel. The cover (featuring
a 1949 "bullet-nosed" Studebaker) was a more conventional
approach, Li'l Farquahard joined Oscar Kabibbler in
the cast, the material continued to be all-new, and there's even
a cameo appearance by Fritzi Ritz (Bushmiller fans
take note!), but Walthers' offbeat humor proved too elusive
for the underground comix market and there was never a third
issue (though Walthers, also known as Bruce von Alten,
continued to contribute to anthologies such as Snarf).
Published by Kitchen Sink Press.
First (and
only) printing. NM/Mint. $12
