189. R. Crumb's Devil
Girl Choco-Bars (1995).
By the mid '90s candy bars (starting with
several editions of the boxed Cadillacs & Dinosaurs bars)
had become a significant source of income for ever-diversifying
Kitchen Sink Press. Breaking out in particular was Robert
Crumb's Devil Girl Choco-Bars, which experienced surprisingly
strong sales in a number of unconventional markets outside comics
channels. Sarcastically saying "Eat Me!," this promotional
button featuring Devil Girl sums up the appeal of this offbeat
product.
1.25 inch diameter. $6.00
One note, for serious button collectors,
you may want to read the KSP
BUTTON TEXT which explains the numbering systems for
identifying the various buttons produced over the last 30 years,
or see the COMPLETE
KSP BUTTON LIST. The list is VERY long, so be patient
while it loads.
