    McManus (1884-1954) created Bringing Up Father (1913-1954), featuring domestic conflict in the home of Jiggs and Maggie, a nouveau riche Irish couple, characterized by beautiful Art Deco-inspired drawing, fine theatrically-inspired writing, and a fabulous cast of characters, many of whom gathered at Dinty Moore's tavern. 4" x 6" sepia tone card on heavy card stock.
